The schooner America at our fuel dock

Taking care of America

Jul 24, 2015

Visiting today at our fuel dock is the 138 ft. schooner, America. Built as a replica of the original US winner of the America's Cup, the wooden schooner is probably the largest sailing vessel to enter Berkeley Marina. (Let us know if we're wrong!) Now which of our lifts will we use for the haulout?

Mad Hatter, a Wylie custom 34

Mad Hatter get a shine and more

Nov 25, 2014

Rich Fisher stands proud at the stern of his Wylie Custom 34, Mad Hatter. Rich is taking full advantage of his bottom package haul out at Berkeley Marine Center to work on a variety of projects, and of course making that beautiful red finish shine! We're happy to welcome Rich to the yard!
Hauling out for a bottom package is a great time to check on hull condition, rudder and rudder post, cutlass bearing, and thru-hulls. It's also the ideal time to do any mast wiring work.
